Introducing...

Claudia Madrid
Born 10/20 at 2:51 in the morning. She weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces. She is absolutely perfect and we are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.

And after 2 days of snuggling under the king-sized baby quilt with my new girl, I'm rethinking the suitability of it. Perhaps all baby quilts should be big enough for the whole family.
Thanks for all the well-wishes. We feel really blessed.

Congratulations! Lovely baby.

When my second son was a newborn, we used my first twin sized quilt way more than any baby blankets. We spread it out on the couch to make a nursing nest for me, the baby and my toddler, so baby and I could hang out on the couch without worrying about it being spattered in everything, and my toddler could run around and play or sit on the blanket and do puzzles or read books. And when I fell alseep nursing on the couch late at night so I wouldn't disturb my husband in our bed, guess what kept me warm on cold Jan. nights? You guessed it. I think moms should get a new quilt whenever they have a baby, too.

what a gift to have a little peek into your beautiful family and the lifestyle you and Al have created. The quilt is brilliant. Family bed is forever and a quilt that size would come in handy around here. At sixteen and almost twenty Shane and Grace are still crawling in at all hours. It is a comforting interruption of sleep at midnight or two a.m. when one of them has come home to fill us in on their night before they go to their own bed. We also pick apples together every year and the girls carve a pumpkin with Kevin. A highlight for him. Enjoy every moment Keep them close. Maria

Hey Maria, great to hear from you! Glad to hear all are well in your family and the girls are still cuddly enough to want to be in your bed. I learned lots about parenting from you and Kevin! We will be out at the beach for Thanksgiving. Hope we'll see you. Love Jess
